SIGMA is excited to announce preparations for the 2nd Annual SIGMA Women’s Ambassador Network Luncheon at the 2025 Annual Conference, November 4-6, in Nashville, TN!
Last year, we were proud to celebrate the incredible women leading and inspiring within our industry through the launch of the SIGMA Women’s Ambassador Network Awards. We’re deeply grateful to everyone who helped make our inaugural year such a success.
Looking ahead, nominations for the 2025 SWAN Awards will open on May 12 and will remain open through August 11, 2025. All SIGMA members, BSPs, and individuals from other membership levels are welcome to participate.
The selection process will take place from August 11 through Labor Day, with award winners to be announced shortly thereafter.
The SIGMA Women’s Ambassador Network (SWAN) Awards recognize outstanding women in two distinct categories:
- Executive Leader
- Emerging Leader
Nomination Process and Criteria
Executive Leader Award
Nominees in this category should demonstrate:
- Extensive Leadership Experience – 15 or more years of leadership within the industry.
- Leadership Excellence – Proven leadership capabilities, including strategic vision, strong decision-making, and the ability to inspire and guide teams.
- Industry Impact – Meaningful contributions to the liquid fuels industry through successful projects, initiatives, or innovations that have moved the industry forward.
- Advocacy and Mentorship – A commitment to supporting and mentoring other women in the industry.
Emerging Leader Award
Nominees in this category should demonstrate:
- Industry Experience – At least 5 years of experience in the industry.
- Business Impact – Significant contributions to the growth or development of a business, such as a fuel marketer or similar organization.
- Industry Engagement – Active participation in the industry, including involvement in SIGMA events, reflecting a clear commitment to professional growth and engagement.
Eligibility
- Nominees must be women who currently hold or have previously held a position within the fuel industry.
Submission of Nominations
- Nominations may be submitted by colleagues or industry peers.
Required Documentation
- A complete nomination form detailing the nominee’s background and accomplishments.
- A written statement (500–1,000 words) describing how the nominee meets the award criteria, with specific examples of leadership, innovation, and industry impact.
Review and Selection Process
- All nominations will be reviewed by the SIGMA Women’s Ambassador Network Selection Committee.
- Please note: Self-nominations will not be accepted.
