Bonus Education Session on Insurance
SIGMA’s 2009 Annual Meeting to be held November 13-15 at the Fairmont Hotel, in Chicago, IL, is shaping up to be a winner! A variety of education programs are being planned including an all-day education program facilitated by Federated Insurance. The program will be held Friday, November 13, 2009 from 8:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. “Controlling Insurance Costs – Do You Really Know What You Need to Know?”, will cover employment practices, fleet safety and other risk management specifics to help make informed decisions about avoiding costly pitfalls. Great Tours Scheduled for Chicago – Sign Up Now Open!
The tours for Chicago are all set and they will have something for everyone.
On Friday, November 13th join us as we visit 1154 Lill Studio on Armitage Street. The Studio is known for its custom handbags and you will get to create your very own. As part of the registration fee for the tour, you will have $75 towards the custom bag of your choice. There are over 25 styles of bags to choose from and hundreds of fabrics – you will be able to design a purse that is yours alone! On Saturday, November 14th, you are in for a special treat. First stop is a tour of Frank Lloyd Wright’s Home and Studio, a wonderful example of his architecture and where he raised his family and worked from 1889 to 1909 – the first 20 years of his career.
Our next stop will be Winberie’s Restaurant, where we will have lunch and discuss the book, Loving Frank by Nancy Horan (a great book that is based on his career and his love affair with Mameh Borthwick Cheney, covering their lives from 1907-1914).
Our final stop will be a tour of Unity Temple – the Unitarian Universal Church he was commissioned to design after the original was lost to fire.
